Whole Foods Market introduced the newest Dash Cart in stores across three cities last year and will expand it to dozens more locations nationwide by yearS end, the company announced on January 7 in a press release.
The cart’s built-in screen displays prices, tracks a running total, integrates with Alexa shopping lists for easy item check-off,provides an interactive store map,and delivers personalized deals on nearby items,according to the release.
The Dash Cart also features an improved scanner that allows customers to skip the checkout line. The redesigned scanner is more responsive and positioned next to the screen for easier use.
A built-in produce scale lets customers weigh items, view the price, and continue shopping, per the release.
The new Dash Cart is 25% lighter and offers 40% greater capacity than the previous model, according to the release.
