Remedy Entertainment’s critically acclaimed survival horror title, Alan Wake 2, is reportedly set to be one of the free games offered to PlayStation Plus Essential members in October 2025.The leak comes from reliable industry insider Billbil-Kun, known for accurate PlayStation plus predictions.
PlayStation Plus Essential is the lowest tier of Sony’s subscription service, providing subscribers with access to a rotating selection of downloadable games each month.Sony typically announces the next month’s lineup in the latter half of the current month, but is scheduled to reveal October’s games next Wednesday due to calendar timing. Though, Billbil-Kun has revealed Alan Wake 2 ahead of the official announcement, potentially foreshadowing a reveal during tonight’s possible State of Play presentation.
The three PS Plus Essential games for October 2025 will be available to claim starting October 7th, 2025.
