Samsung Electronics Indonesia officially launched the Galaxy S26 Series today, February 27, 2026, with pre-orders opening immediately and running through March 17, 2026. The new line, consisting of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, places a significant emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and enhanced privacy features.
The Galaxy S26 Series aims to address common smartphone limitations, such as poor low-light camera performance, multitasking challenges, and privacy concerns, according to Ilham Indrawan, MX Product Marketing Senior Manager at Samsung Electronics Indonesia. The company is positioning the devices as intelligent companions capable of adapting to users’ daily needs.
A key innovation is the “Privacy Display” feature, exclusive to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which allows users to limit the viewing angle of the screen, protecting sensitive information like PINs and passwords from onlookers. The S26 Ultra also boasts an improved camera system with a brighter aperture and enhanced image processing, promising a 47% increase in brightness and 37% more detail in images captured with the 200MP camera and 10x optical zoom.
Beyond hardware improvements, Samsung is highlighting advancements in its Galaxy AI. New features include “Call Screening,” which uses AI to filter unknown numbers, and “Now Nudge,” which proactively offers suggestions and reminders, such as identifying scheduling conflicts. The “Photo Assist” feature allows users to edit photos using simple text prompts, leveraging AI to make complex edits with ease.
Pre-order incentives include memory upgrades worth up to Rp4.500.000, cashback offers from participating banks up to Rp2.000.000, and trade-in cashback up to Rp1.000.000. Customers who pre-registered are eligible for an additional Rp500,000 e-voucher for accessories and a “Surprise Box” for those pre-ordering between February 26th and March 5th, 2026.
Samsung has also partnered with SukkhaCitta for a special package available with the Galaxy S26 Ultra in Online Exclusive colors (Pink Gold and Silver Shadow) purchased through samsung.com/id. This package includes a hand-embroidered, gender-neutral shirt featuring the Galaxy AI star icon, available in limited quantities.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is priced at Rp31.999.000 (16GB/1TB), Rp27.499.000 (12GB/512GB), and Rp24.499.000 (12GB/256GB). The Galaxy S26+ is available for Rp22.499.000 (12GB/512GB) and Rp19.499.000 (12GB/256GB). The Galaxy S26 starts at Rp16.499.000 (12GB/256GB) and goes up to Rp19.499.000 (12GB/512GB). The Pink Gold and Silver Shadow color options are exclusively available through samsung.com/id.
The Galaxy S26 Series utilizes either the Exynos 2600 processor (in most regions) or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (in North America, Japan, and China). All models start with a base storage option of 256GB, foregoing the 128GB option of previous generations.
