Ultrahuman unveiled its fresh Ring Pro smart ring on Friday, boasting a battery life of up to 15 days, a significant increase over competitors like the Oura Ring 4. However, the launch is occurring without availability in the United States due to an ongoing patent dispute with Oura.
The Bengaluru-based wearable maker’s third-generation ring, priced at $479, offers a substantial improvement in battery performance compared to its Ring Air predecessor, which provided four to six days of utilize on a single charge. The Ring Pro too features 250 days of on-device memory, exceeding the Oura Ring 4’s capacity of approximately one week, according to Ultrahuman.
The U.S. Market exclusion stems from a ruling by the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) in October 2025, which sided with Oura in a patent infringement case. This decision blocked Ultrahuman from importing the Ring Air into the country. Mohit Kumar, co-founder and CEO of Ultrahuman, stated the company is working to address the issue and bring the Ring Pro to U.S. Customers, but a timeline remains uncertain. “Ring Pro is not available in the United States at launch,” a company spokesperson confirmed. “This is an exciting market for us where we have a huge community of passionate customers. We are working through the necessary steps to bring Ring Pro to our U.S. Customers and hope to share good news soon.”
Despite the U.S. Setback, Ultrahuman reported an annualized revenue run rate of approximately $150 million, with $64 million in operating revenue recorded in the financial year ending March 2025. The company remains profitable, though Kumar anticipates potential margin compression due to litigation costs, tariffs, and the redesign efforts undertaken to circumvent Oura’s patent.
Ultrahuman has also filed a separate patent infringement case against Oura in the Delhi High Court, a matter that is currently pending. The Ring Pro itself has been submitted to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for clearance to determine if it can be legally imported, according to Kumar.
The Ring Pro is available for pre-order globally, excluding the U.S., with shipments scheduled to commence in March. The ring is offered in titanium with three color options: Bionic Gold, Space Silver, and Raw Titanium, and in sizes five to 14. It also features a redesigned heart rate sensor array intended to improve reliability during sleep tracking.
With the optional Pro Charging Case, battery life extends to 45 days, and the case itself can store up to one year of ring data, according to Ultrahuman.
