Honda will sponsor the official promotion event for the 2026 FIA Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix, the “F1® TOKYO FAN FESTIVAL 2026,” according to an announcement from Honda Global.
The festival, organized by Honda Mobilityland Corporation, is scheduled for March 25, 2026, and will be held at Tokyo Tower and Star Rise Tower in Minato City, Tokyo. The event aims to broaden the appeal of Formula 1 racing, offering attractions for both dedicated fans and those new to the sport, as well as families.
Planned attractions include displays of actual F1® cars and interactive experiences designed to immerse attendees in the world of Formula 1. Stage programs, including talk shows, are also planned. Honda’s commitment to the event underscores the importance of the Japanese Grand Prix within the broader F1 calendar.
The sponsorship aligns with Honda’s wider motorsports program for 2026, which includes continued involvement in Formula 1. Recent testing in Bahrain, as reported by Honda Global, represents the initial phase of preparations for the 2026 season.
The event also comes as Japanese driver Ayumu Iwasa aims to become the next Japanese F1 star, having recently secured a Super Formula title, according to reporting from the Japan Times. The festival could serve as a platform to further cultivate interest in Japanese motorsports talent.
Honda’s sponsorship of the Tokyo fan festival is part of a broader effort to promote the Japanese Grand Prix and engage a wider audience with Formula 1 racing. The company has not yet commented on specific details regarding the scale of its investment or anticipated attendance figures.
