A major snowstorm has paralyzed New York City, according to reports from ORF 2 on February 23, 2026. The broadcast, available until March 25, 2026, details widespread disruption across the city.

The storm’s impact comes as several organizations are planning conferences and events in New York in the coming months. Waset.org lists multiple open reading frame (ORF) conferences scheduled for November 2026 in the city, intended for researchers and academics. The New York State Government Finance Officers Association (NYGFOA) is also preparing to host its annual conference in 2026, anticipating over 550 finance professionals from state and local government and the private sector.
