Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Hosts Controversial ‘Hispanic Prosperity Gala’ | 2026 Update

PALM BEACH, FL – Former President Donald Trump hosted a lavish Hispanic Prosperity Gala at his Mar-a-Lago resort on February 10, 2026, featuring Spanish-language performances and an AI-generated video depicting him dancing with authoritarian leaders, just days after criticizing a Spanish-language Super Bowl halftime show.

The event, a sold-out black-tie affair, was held in partnership between Latino Wall Street and the conservative nonprofit America First Policy Institute. Attendees witnessed an AI-generated video of Trump dancing to “Los Comunistas Donde Están,” a Venezuelan song composed following the United States’ kidnapping of former Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro. The video too featured digitally inserted images of Trump dancing with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The gala took place shortly after Trump publicly criticized Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny’s Spanish-language performance during the Super Bowl halftime show, posting on his Truth Social account, “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence.”

MAGA-aligned figures were prominently featured at the Mar-a-Lago event, including Rudy Giuliani, Roger Stone, and Mike Flynn. Argentine President Javier Milei served as the keynote speaker, receiving praise from Trump as his “favorite president.”

According to sources familiar with the matter, Rudy Giuliani traveled to Mar-a-Lago earlier this year to request financial assistance from Trump to cover mounting legal bills. CNN reported that Giuliani and his attorney, Robert Costello, met with Trump twice in late April to discuss the seven-figure legal fees, with Giuliani arguing that paying his bills was in Trump’s best interest. Trump reportedly offered a verbal pledge to help, and his PAC contributed $340,000 towards a bill with a data storage company.

Giuliani is currently facing legal challenges related to his work with Trump, including an indictment in Georgia for conspiring to overturn the 2020 election results, and lawsuits from Dominion and Smartmatic over claims of election fraud. He is also facing defamation lawsuits from Georgia election workers and a former employee alleging sexual coercion. His financial difficulties have reportedly led him to list his Manhattan apartment for sale.

In January 2026, Giuliani was also captured on video struggling with his phone while attempting to record at a New Year’s Eve party at Mar-a-Lago, a moment widely circulated online and framed as emblematic of his public decline.

The Hispanic Prosperity Gala underscores Trump’s ongoing efforts to appeal to Latino voters while simultaneously signaling a rejection of Spanish language and Latino cultural elements in mainstream American events. The inclusion of authoritarian leaders in the AI-generated video further highlights the former president’s embrace of controversial international figures.
