The International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is seeking an Information Manager for its Port-au-Prince, Haiti office, a position critical to supporting aid delivery in a country facing ongoing insecurity. The role, announced February 13, 2026, will oversee the management of information and data related to the safety of humanitarian workers operating across Haiti.
Founded in 2011, INSO provides free safety services to humanitarian NGOs, aiming to improve access and save lives in insecure environments. The organization currently operates in 26 countries globally, with its headquarters in The Hague. INSO’s work is particularly relevant given the increasing targeting of humanitarian staff, as highlighted by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2730, passed in May 2024, which calls on states to respect and protect humanitarian and UN personnel.
INSO established a presence in Haiti in June 2022, expanding its services throughout 2023 to now support nearly 70 partner organizations – including both national and international NGOs, as well as branches of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The Information Manager will be responsible for coordinating and analyzing data related to the operating environment, providing crisis management support, and facilitating training on access and security for partner organizations.
The position requires five or more years of experience in data management and visualization, ideally within a humanitarian context. Candidates must have at least two years of direct management experience leading a technical team. Proficiency in Power BI or similar business intelligence software, alongside knowledge of database management using SQL and scripting languages like Python or R, are essential. Fluency in French and working knowledge of English are also required.
Key responsibilities include supervising a GIS Officer, managing the Conflict & Humanitarian Data Centre (CHDC), and overseeing the INSO Portal. The Information Manager will act as the focal point for both systems, ensuring data quality, providing training to staff and partners, and generating visualizations and reports to inform decision-making. The role also involves coordinating with other departments, attending Senior Management Team meetings, and providing IT support to the country office.
The position offers a 12-month renewable contract with a monthly salary of €5000, along with benefits including four calendar days of annual leave per month, seven days of Rest & Recuperation every two months with a €1,250 housing allowance, global medical coverage (excluding the USA), and Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance. The role is open to both national and international candidates, with salary adjustments for national candidates based on local schemes.
Interested applicants are invited to submit their application, including an updated CV in English (maximum 3 pages) and a motivation letter in English (maximum 1 page) explaining their suitability for the role, to jobs@hti.ngosafety.org by March 10, 2026. Shortlisted candidates only will be contacted.
