Huawei M9 International launch Imminent, Confirmed by Leaked Images
Paris, France – Evidence strongly suggests Huawei is preparing to launch its M9 large SUV internationally, as images obtained by Frandroid reveal a version of teh vehicle adapted for Western markets. The leaked photos showcase meaningful software and design modifications, confirming the company is actively working to meet international operational and regulatory standards.
The images, appearing to be captured from within the vehicle’s infotainment system, demonstrate a complete overhaul of the user interface. Menus, settings, the voice assistant, and media applications have been translated into English and feature iconography aligned with Western design preferences. Chinese-specific apps like Weibo have been replaced with globally recognized services such as YouTube and Prime Video. This adaptation extends beyond software; the vehicle’s signage, speed limit displays, and lane markings now adhere to Western conventions, indicating adjustments to the Advanced Driver-assistance System (ADS).
The M9, measuring 5.23 meters long with a 3.11-meter wheelbase, is positioned as a premium family SUV available in five or six-seat configurations. Huawei offers two powertrains: a fully electric version producing 523 hp and 673 Nm of torque with a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 4.7 seconds, and a range-extender version combining a thermal engine with dual electric motors, achieving up to 1,417 km of range based on the Chinese CLTC cycle.
While Huawei has not yet announced official launch dates or locations, these images provide concrete proof that the company is laying the groundwork for an international rollout of the M9. The move is especially significant given the often stringent standards for new technology in overseas markets.
