Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2025 to March Through NYC Tomorrow
NEW YORK – The 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off tomorrow, November 27, 2025, winding it’s way through Manhattan and kicking off the holiday season. Millions are expected to line the streets for the annual spectacle featuring giant character balloons, elaborate floats, marching bands, and performance groups.
The parade route, a tradition as 1924, has undergone adjustments in recent years, but maintains its core path through the heart of New York city. Spectators can anticipate viewing the parade along Central Park West, down 6th Avenue, and culminating in front of Macy’s Herald Square.
Parade Route & Viewing Locations:
The parade begins at 8:30 AM on Central Park west between 81st Street and West 86th Street,proceeding south. key viewing areas include:
* Upper West Side: 77th Street to 72nd Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.
* Upper West Side: 71st Street and 68th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue.
* Midtown West: 62nd and 61st Streets between Central Park West and Broadway.
* Midtown: 59th Street between 6th Avenue and 5th Avenue.
The parade then turns onto Columbus Circle, proceeds down 6th Avenue between 59th Street and 34th Street, and finishes at 34th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues near Macy’s Herald Square.
Dispersal Areas:
Following the main route, dispersal areas extend from 33rd to 41st Streets, between 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Avenues, and along Broadway between 34th and 45th Streets.Specific dispersal streets include:
* 33rd Street between 5th and 10th Avenues
* 34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues
* 34th Street between 6th and 5th Avenues
* 35th-41st Streets between 5th and 8th Avenues
* 36th-40th Streets between Broadway and 8th Avenue
* 7th Avenue between 31st and 41st Streets
* Broadway between 45th and 34th streets
Formation & Miscellaneous Areas:
Parade formation and staging will occur along 58th Street between 6th and 5th Avenues,as well as several streets in the 30s and 40s between Broadway and 6th Avenue. Grand Army Plaza between 59th Street and 5th Avenue will also be utilized.
How to Watch:
* In Person: Arrive early to secure a good viewing spot, especially along Central Park West and 6th Avenue. Be prepared for large crowds and cold weather.
* Television: The parade will be broadcast nationally on NBC and streamed on Peacock from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM EST.
