Porizkova, a model who rose to prominence in the 1980s, has become an outspoken advocate for embracing aging and defying conventional beauty standards. She told USA TODAY last year that she once didn’t think much of aging,believing it would diminish her zest for life. Now, she views this stage of life as “such a tremendous time” and encourages others to do the same. “Life will only get better as long as you’re not afraid of it,” she said. “This is a fantastic place to be. Don’t waste time trying to be younger.Embrace who you are right now because you are at your very best right now. It’s not going to get any better than this, so enjoy it while it lasts.”
