Cincinnati high School Football Playoff Preview: Moeller, St. ⁢Xavier,Indian Hill,and Taft Headline Regional Showdowns

Cincinnati,OH – November 12,2025 ⁤ -​ The​ Cincinnati area‌ is poised for a thrilling weekend​ of ​high⁣ school football as regional playoff‌ matchups pit several local powerhouses against tough⁤ competition. Moeller, St. Xavier,​ indian Hill, and Taft are all vying for‌ a spot in ⁤their respective state championship games.

Moeller and st.Xavier, long-standing rivals, are both competing ⁢in​ Division I. Moeller faces ​a challenging ⁢opponent, while St. Xavier will look to continue its strong season. In Division III, Indian Hill ‍aims to advance, and⁢ Taft will ⁢battle for ⁢a spot ⁤in the Division V bracket.

The stakes are particularly⁢ high ⁣for New ‍Palestine ​(11-0), ranked‌ No. 1 ‍in​ 5A, as they travel to St. Leon to‌ face East Central (9-2). This is a rematch of the‍ 2023 4A state semifinals, won ‌by​ New Palestine 49-0 en route​ to a state title – East Central’s last defeat. ⁢New Palestine has since won 25 consecutive⁤ games, including ⁤the ⁤2024 4A state championship. ​This season, new Palestine has dominated opponents with‌ a 530-54⁢ scoring margin, with ‍Jacob Davis and⁢ Caleb Jacobia‍ leading a potent rushing attack and Davis also excelling as a passer with 1,634 yards and 19 ‌touchdowns against only one interception. East Central is led by junior ‌Colton Bellman, with 1,480 rushing yards, and Karson Dorsey,⁣ who has six interceptions this season.

In Class 3A, Lawrenceburg (10-1) hosts ⁤Cascade‌ (12-0). Lawrenceburg has won 10 straight, outscoring opponents 467-96, ⁢and is ranked fourth in the final⁣ 3A state ‍poll. ‍Cascade, despite being unranked, ‍has been ​equally⁢ dominant, ‍winning its three playoff ‌games by ‍a ‍combined score of ⁢152-35 ⁣and averaging ‍56 points per game on offense. Cascade’s rushing attack features ⁢three players with over 700⁢ yards each, and senior quarterback Brady Trebley has thrown ⁢for 1,786 yards and 28 touchdowns without an interception.
