Paramore Frontwoman Hayley Williams Announces Solo Tour Dates after Pandemic Delay
Hayley Williams, lead singer of the acclaimed band Paramore, has revealed the dates for her first-ever solo tour, beginning March 28 in Atlanta. In a characteristically unconventional move, Williams opted to “leak” the tour details herself, offering fans a direct proclamation outside of customary promotional channels.
The tour supports Williams’ latest collection, Ego Death at a bachelorette Party, released digitally this summer and on vinyl November 7 via her Post Atlantic label, distributed by Secretly distribution. Originally intended to tour behind her 2020 album Petals for Armor, Williams was forced to postpone plans due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. This upcoming tour marks the long-awaited prospect for Williams to showcase this body of work and new material to a live audience. Ego Death recently received four Grammy nominations: Best Option Music Album, Best Alternative Music Performance (“Parachute”), best Rock Performance (“Mirtazapine”), and Best Rock Song (“Glum”).
The 20-track Ego Death was produced by Daniel James, with contributions from steph Marziano, Elise Joseph James, Brian Robert Jones, Joey Howard, and Jim-E Stack. Williams will be joined on tour by support acts Water from Your Eyes and Snuggle, with additional shows – including potential summer festival appearances – anticipated. Ticket on-sale details has not yet been released.
