Bram Braces for Weekend of Family Fun, Sporting Competition & Endurance Challenge
Bram, Aude – A packed weekend of activities is set to transform Bram, from enchanting encounters with Disney heroes to intense sporting clashes and a grueling 72-hour fishing endurance event. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to a diverse range of entertainment options beginning this Saturday, November 9th.
The Twirling Club Villa-Bram is hosting “Magic Land” at the Claude-Nougaro halls, offering a dedicated space for families to immerse themselves in the world of beloved animated films. Simultaneously, local sports teams will be competing across multiple disciplines, while the “Carpes Canal” enduro will test the stamina of twenty two-person teams along the canal du Midi. This confluence of events underscores Bram’s vibrant community spirit and its appeal as a regional hub for both family-kind recreation and competitive athletics.
“Magic Land” promises a fully themed experience, with stands dedicated to favorites like Cars, dinosaurs, and unicorns. attendees can participate in creative workshops – crafting bracelets, crowns, and dinosaur figures – alongside makeup, tattoo, and hair styling stations. Sporting challenges will also be available, and iconic characters from Disney films like Lilo and Stitch, Buzz Lightyear, Pocahontas, and Hercules will be present for meet-and-greets and photo opportunities. A food, drink, and souvenir area will complete the experience. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.both saturday and Sunday, with an entrance fee of €2.
Beyond the enchantment of “Magic Land,” Bram’s sporting calendar is brimming with action. local handball teams will face Carcassonne (Under 11, 2:30 p.m.) and Narbonne (Under 13, 1 p.m.) on Saturday. Football fans can catch GFPLM’s U12 team against OL Carcassonne at 10 a.m., and GFPLM I versus Caux-et-Sauzens and GFPLM II against OL Razès at 2 p.m. at the Saint-Exupéry stadium.
Sunday sees the women’s tennis team travel to Cuxac-d’Aude for a preliminary phase match, while the men’s II team hosts AS Narbonnaise at the Pyrénées complex courts. The women’s rugby team will travel to Castelnaudary for a 3 p.m. match against ROC at the De-Coubertin stadium. bram I’s football team will challenge Rieux-Minervois, who remain undefeated at home this season.
Adding a unique dimension to the weekend’s events is the ”Carpes Canal” enduro,a 72-hour fishing competition commencing Saturday morning and concluding Tuesday,November 11th. Twenty duos will compete between the port of Bram and Villesèquelande.
