UAE Bodybuilding Team Ready for West Asia Championship
Dubai (Etihad) – The UAE national bodybuilding team has arrived in Bahrain to compete in the West Asia Championship, scheduled for Saturday.The competition is organized by the Bahrain Bodybuilding Federation and overseen by the International and Asian Federations.
A 22-member squad of elite Emirati athletes will represent the nation, accompanied by a delegation led by Ahmed Gohar, a member of the Board of Directors of the Body Building and Fitness Federation, and national team technical director Zuwayed salmin, along with supporting technical and administrative staff.
Ahmed Johar expressed gratitude to the Federation’s Board of Directors, headed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, for their support in preparing the team.”The team’s players are highly prepared, and their ambition is to achieve the best results and medals, in a way that is commensurate with the status of Emirati sports, especially in bodybuilding,” johar stated. He added his hope that the athletes will “invest their participation in the tournament, win medals of excellence, and achieve a new qualitative addition to Emirati bodybuilding.”
The UAE delegation also includes team doctor Dr. Saeed Sasani and international referee Abdullah jamal.
The athletes competing are: Abdullah Faisal Al Bastaki,Mohammed Al Balushi,Muhannad Al Zaabi,Jassim Al Harmoudi,abdullah al Marzouqi,Hamad Al Balushi,Thani Khamis,Khaled Bakhit Al Falasi,Marwan Al Balushi,Ahmed Al Tamimi,Omar Al Muhairi,Abdullah Al Marri,Mohammed Masoud Al-Awadi,Ali Dhawi,Rashid Al-Zaabi,Abdullah Al-Khattal,Ahmed Muhammad Ali,Tariq Musa,Abdullah Ali Al-Balushi,Hamad Al-Hammadi,Khaled Al-Mutawa,and Hani Al-Awadi.
