“Infinitely grateful”: “Fantastic Four” star Vanessa Kirby has become a mother.
Actress Vanessa Kirby and fiancé Paul rabil have welcomed their first child, Rabil announced on Instagram. The news follows KirbyS public appearances showcasing her baby bump during the promotional tour for the Marvel film “Fantastic Four: First Steps.”
Kirby,37,did not experience any noticeable pregnancy symptoms during press appointments or fan events. Rumors of an impending arrival increased following the German premiere in Berlin in july.
“I’m learning that becoming a parent slows you down and makes you more awake simultaneously occurring,” Rabil, 39, wrote alongside a series of photos documenting their first days as a family. “I am endlessly grateful for everyone’s health, grateful that I can wake up every day and experience mom’s enormous love – and that you are now part of our lives.” Rabil did not disclose the baby’s gender, name, or birthdate.
Kirby and former lacrosse professional Rabil were first linked in October 2022,photographed walking hand-in-hand in New York City. They confirmed their relationship on Instagram a year later, with Rabil sharing photos and a message stating, “From the first minute we met in Des Moines – around the world and back – life is better, more meaningful and more beautiful because of you.”
During a Berlin press event for “Fantastic Four: First Steps,” Kirby discussed the parallels between her pregnancy and her character Sue Storm’s motherhood in the film, noting it felt “surreal.” She previously expressed concern about the role possibly being clichéd but ultimately appreciated that Sue Storm could ”save the world” while pregnant, stating, “She’s a mother, she works, she also has to take care of all sorts of things on the side – and she gets it all done. Women are capable of that!”
