Kassel Market Manager addresses Viral Pudding-and-Fork Trend
Kassel,Germany – A Kassel supermarket is responding to a burgeoning online trend of young people eating pudding with forks,a practice gaining traction on social media. Kai Mohr, manager of the local market, noted the unusual request for a dedicated fork display after a playful Facebook post sparked local interest. despite the buzz, no customers have yet inquired about a specific fork section within the store.
The trend, originating online, sees individuals opting to consume pudding with a fork rather than a customary spoon. Mohr initially considered creating a prototype display but found it didn’t meet his standards. He says customers can still find wooden forks at the salad bar if they wish to participate in the trend, but maintains he prefers to enjoy his pudding with a spoon.
“So far no one in the store has asked about the display,” Mohr said with a smile. He added that he would consider a fork cardboard cutout if demand increases. Mohr’s initial Facebook post about the trend has been met with positive and amused reactions from the community.
The market manager shared the story of two friends, Lena Zirkenbach (19) from Niedenstein and saya Ritze (30) from Kassel, who met for pudding in front of the orangery, exemplifying the lighthearted nature of the trend. The story was accompanied by a photo of the two friends.
