CFCC too Offer Free FAFSA & Financial Aid Assistance on October 29
WILMINGTON, N.C. - Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is hosting a free financial Aid and FAFSA Night on October 29, aiming to help students navigate the often-complex process of applying for financial assistance. The event comes as the FAFSA undergoes important changes, possibly creating hurdles for students and families.
CFCC will provide personalized, step-by-step guidance to attendees completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. Support will also be available for document preparation and understanding scholarship opportunities.
“We recognize the challenges of navigating the financial aid process, particularly amidst the new changes to the FAFSA,” said Sabrina Terry, CFCC Vice President of Student Services.”This Financial Aid and FAFSA Night ensures that every student can confidently access the financial assistance required to pursue their educational goals.”
To make the process as smooth as possible, attendees are asked to bring documentation to verify residency, their FSA ID and password (for both the student and a parent/guardian, if applicable), and both their 2023 and 2024 tax returns.
The event will be held from 4:00 p.m.to 6:00 p.m. in CFCC’s Union Station, room 212. Registration is required and can be completed online at https://cfcc.edu/fafsa-nights/.
