Santa Clara, Calif. – Oct. 1 (UPI) – Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will be present at the Super Bowl halftime show featuring Bad Bunny, according to Homeland Security adviser Corey Lewandowski.
Lewandowski, 52, made the claim during an appearance on ”The Benny Show” podcast Wednesday, The Hill reported. He stated that ICE will actively seek out individuals in the contry illegally.
“There is nowhere that you can provide a safe haven to the people in this country illegally,” Lewandowski said. “We will find you. We will apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you.”
Lewandowski previously served as campaign manager for President Donald Trump in 2016 and as a senior adviser in 2020 and 2024.
The Super Bowl, scheduled for Feb. 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., represents the only U.S. performance currently scheduled for 2026 for Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio. The Puerto Rican artist has won three grammy Awards.
Bad bunny previously announced he woudl limit U.S. performances due to concerns about potential ICE raids at his concert venues, Variety reported. He affirmed this decision on X, stating he would perform only “one date in the United States.”
The artist has a world tour scheduled from December through July.
