The coach addressed questions regarding assistant coach Gökhan Gönül’s absence from the bench, clarifying it wasn’t a disciplinary matter.”I didn’t know him before.Sometimes things may not go as you wish. There was no special situation,” Tedesco stated. He emphasized Gönül’s legendary status at Fenerbahçe and announced no plans to seek a direct replacement, instead highlighting the capabilities of current staff member Zeki, stating, “He has been in this club for many years, is a good person, and a very good coach… It is very good for us that his duty increases.”
