Mother Arrested After Unsanitary Living Conditions Discovered in Kentucky⁣ Apartment

Oak Grove,‍ KY – Jessica Reeve, 36, of‌ Oak ‌Grove, Kentucky, was arrested on September⁢ 18th and is ⁤currently held at the⁢ Christian County ‌Detention Center⁢ on a $15,000 bond, ⁣facing three‌ counts ‌of frist-degree wanton endangerment. The arrest stems from concerns raised about the living conditions within her apartment‌ and the well-being of her three sons, ages 6 and ⁢10 (two sons‍ are 10 years old).

The inquiry began with a complaint submitted too the Kentucky⁤ Department of⁣ Community-Based⁤ Services, which alerted authorities to potentially hazardous conditions in the Meadow Lane ‍apartment.A welfare agency‍ worker afterward contacted the Oak Grove Police Department, ‌leading to a visit by officers.

Upon ‍entering the apartment, officers were met with a ⁢strong odor of ⁣feces and ⁢found the residence heavily cluttered with clothes, ⁣trash, ⁤and debris,⁢ hindering their movement. ‌⁤ The source of ‌the odor was quickly identified: feces smeared on ⁤the walls and a bed. Reeve reportedly told ‌officers her sons had‍ a habit of smearing feces on surfaces.

According to the criminal complaint, the apartment lacked any clean⁣ areas for the⁤ children to play, sit, or sleep. Reeve identified herself and her three sons as‌ the apartment’s sole occupants.

This is ⁤not ‌the first time Reeve has faced ‌similar allegations. Previously, she was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment related to incidents involving‍ her children, including leaving one son home in unsafe‍ conditions and allowing another son with autism ⁤to wander onto a busy roadway.

Authorities ‍continue to investigate the situation to ensure the safety ⁤and welfare of the‌ children involved.
