Las‍ Vegas Woman Faces ⁤Federal Charges After In-Flight Incident

Las Vegas,NV – A Las Vegas resident is facing federal charges following‌ an incident aboard an⁢ American Airlines flight arriving at Harry Reid international Airport on September 16,2025. Ketty J. Dilone was taken into custody after allegedly disrupting the flight and‌ assaulting a flight attendant.

according to‍ court documents, the incident‌ occurred during ​the flight from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Las Vegas. Dilone reportedly walked through the cabin yelling and verbally threatened⁤ multiple​ members of the flight crew. Authorities state her behavior became ‍so disruptive that she was restrained⁢ with zip ties and ⁣duct tape. ​A flight attendant was allegedly ‌kicked ⁤by Dilone, resulting‍ in injury.

Dilone has been charged with one count of interference with ⁤a ⁢flight crew and one count of assault by ​striking, beating, or wounding. She made​ her initial court appearance today before United States Magistrate Judge Elayna J. ‌Youchah, who scheduled a preliminary hearing for October 1, 2025.

If convicted, Dilone faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. The final sentencing will be‍ determined by a ⁣federal district court judge, taking into account U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other relevant factors.

The case is being ⁣prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney tina Snellings. The examination was conducted by the FBI Las Vegas Division, led⁣ by Special Agent in Charge Christopher S. Delzotto, ⁤and the Las Vegas Metropolitan‌ Police Department.Acting United States Attorney​ Sigal⁣ Chattah for the District of⁣ Nevada announced the charges.
