NATO has begun deploying additional fighter jets to bolster air defenses along its eastern flank, including poland and the Baltic states. The alliance is also increasing its military presence in the region, with troop movements reported across several member states. The Kremlin has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the incident, but Russian state media is reporting that the missile launch was an “unintentional error” caused by a technical malfunction. Western intelligence agencies are currently assessing the validity of this claim.
