Prince Harry’s Return to UK: Charity Events & Royal Remembrance

Prince Harry has returned to the United Kingdom this week ⁢for a series‌ of charitable engagements and to commemorate the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.⁤ The Duke of Sussex,⁤ 40,⁢ who ‌resides in California with his wife Meghan and their‍ two children, arrived on Monday and visited Windsor Castle, where he laid a wreath and flowers at the King George VI Memorial Chapel in memory of the late Queen, according to a spokesperson​ for‌ the Sussexes.

He then attended the Wellchild Awards in London on Monday ‍evening, an annual event supporting ⁤seriously ill children and their families – a charity he has⁣ supported for 17 years.​

It remains unclear whether Prince​ Harry will meet with King Charles⁤ III⁤ during his visit. Buckingham Palace has not commented on the possibility of ⁤a meeting. King Charles III is currently at Balmoral in Scotland, continuing his‌ summer holiday and receiving ongoing cancer treatment, with no public engagements scheduled for either​ him or ​Queen Camilla next week.

Prince Harry and king Charles last met in February 2024, shortly after the King’s cancer diagnosis, when the Duke traveled⁣ to the UK to visit⁣ him.‌ The Duke’s previous visit to‍ the UK was in April, during which he ‌publicly addressed concerns regarding his security arrangements.
