Full Lunar Eclipse to be Broadcast Live from Russia on September 7th

Skywatchers in Russia will have the opportunity to witness a full lunar eclipse on September 7, 2025, with a live broadcast scheduled to begin at 19:30 Moscow time (approximately 7:30 PM Moscow time) and conclude around 24:00 (midnight).
While lunar eclipses can occur up to twice a year, complete immersions of the moon in Earth’s full shadow are rarer events. The last time all phases of a full lunar eclipse were visible in Russia was in 2018. The next opportunity will not arrive until December 31, 2028.
Broadcast Details and Equipment
the broadcast will feature clear skies and is being captured using a telescope-ahromate 80/400, coupled with a ZWO ASI 482MC planetary camera and a UV-IR Cut light filter. Image capture is being managed by Sharpcap 4.1 software.
Viewers can expect adjustments to shooting modes during the stream to optimize image quality based on changing light conditions.The stream will be transmitted to Rutub using the OBS program, configured according to Rutub’s recommended settings. The lunar image will be displayed within the Sharpcap window, and occasional text commentary will be visible during the broadcast.
A recording of the stream will be available for later viewing.
