Georgia Dentist Found Dead After Apparent Double Homicide-Suicide
Johns Creek, Georgia – Authorities discovered three bodies, including that of a dentist identified as James Choi, in a suspected homicide-suicide at a residence in the St. Ives Country Club community on August 31st. Police were conducting a welfare check when the bodies of Choi, his wife, and his 15-year-old daughter were found.Preliminary investigations indicate a domestic-related incident. “Preliminary investigation indicates that it was a homicide with suicide of domestic origin. It is believed that the suspect is James Choi,” stated the Johns Creek Police Department.
Neighbors reported no apparent signs of trouble and described the family as appearing happy. The family resided in a luxurious mansion valued at $1.7 million.
Authorities released an official report on the incident Wednesday. The Atlanta Police Department is continuing to investigate.
