Xbox Game Pass: August Titles Announced

Breaking: Xbox Game Pass subscribers are set to receive eight new titles throughout the first half of August, including the critically acclaimed Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the cooperative shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite.This influx of content aims to bolster the value of the subscription service across PC and Xbox platforms.

Xbox and PC Game Pass continues to expand its libary, offering subscribers access to a rotating selection of games for a monthly fee. The service, launched in 2017, has become a key component of Microsoft’s gaming strategy, attracting millions of players and driving engagement across the Xbox ecosystem. Game Pass is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

  • ORCS MUST DIE! Deathtrap (Xbox Series X/S) – Available August 6
  • Assassin’s creed Mirage (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Cloud) – Available August 7

  • 9 Kings – Game Preview (PC) – Available August 14

Updates and Additions to Existing Titles:

Xbox Game pass currently offers over 100 games, with titles regularly added and removed. The service operates on a tiered subscription model, with options for PC, console, and Ultimate access (including both PC and console, plus Xbox Cloud Gaming). Microsoft has invested heavily in Game Pass, acquiring studios like Bethesda Softworks (parent of ZeniMax Media) in 2021 for $7.5 billion to bolster the service’s exclusive content offerings. The addition of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, developed by Ubisoft, marks a continued partnership between Microsoft and the French publisher, bringing AAA titles to the Game Pass library.
