US Medical Mission to Paraguay: Free Healthcare August 4-15

Friendship Mission 25 launches in Paraguay Offering Free Medical Aid

ASUNCIÓN, PARAGUAY – The United States Embassy in Paraguay will host the launching ceremony for Friendship Mission 25 this Monday, August 4th. This initiative, spearheaded by the South American Air Forces, aims to provide direct medical care and facilitate medical data exchange with patients in Paraguay.

from August 4th to August 15th, 2025, residents of Paraguay’s central department will benefit from a comprehensive medical assistance program.The mission is a collaborative effort between the U.S. Embassy in Asunción,through its Defense Cooperation Office (ODC),and the Paraguayan Ministry of Public Health,along with local hospital and health region medical directors.

All medical services, including consultations, procedures, medication, and supplies such as eyeglasses, will be provided entirely free of charge. The core objective of Friendship Mission 25 is to enhance medical preparedness among military and civilian personnel while concurrently alleviating the strain on the local healthcare system by attending to the target population.

Medical professionals and technicians from the United States military,supported by additional personnel,will deliver a broad spectrum of medical specialties. These include general and emergency surgery, anesthesiology, nursing, dentistry, ophthalmology, optometry, pharmacy, family medicine, biomedical equipment repair, and general medical support.
