NYC office shooting victims include NYPD officer, security guard, Blackstone employee and Cornell grad

An individual associated with the National Football League (NFL) sustained serious injuries in a shooting incident that occurred near the league’s headquarters.The employee was transported to a hospital adn is reported to be in stable condition, according to a communication sent to NFL staff by Commissioner Roger Goodell.

“Our thoughts and prayers remain especially with our colleague who was impacted. he is currently surrounded by his family and members of the NFL community, and we are all continuing to hope for and support his full recovery,” goodell stated in a message to employees on Tuesday.

The NFL has announced that its offices will remain closed until at least August 8. Employees based in New York have been advised to work remotely during this period.

“Thank you to all of you for the compassion, care, and support you are showing to one another right now. it means so much to see how our team is pulling together,” Goodell added.

The examination into the shooting is ongoing.
