Team USA Blue Faces Tough Finnish Test
Team USA’s Blue squad opened the showcase against Finland, with Islanders prospect **Kamil Bednarik** centering the Americans’ top offensive line. He was joined by linemates **Trevor Connelly** (Vegas Golden Knights) and **LJ Mooney** (Montreal Canadiens).
Finland secured a 2-1 lead early in the third period. However, **Bednarik** quickly responded just 42 seconds later, deflecting a shot from defenseman **Luke Osburn** (Buffalo Sabres) to tie the game at 2-2. Despite the effort, USA Blue ultimately fell to Finland with a 3-2 score.

Islanders’ Seventh-Rounder Makes Impact
Jacob Kvasnicka, the Islanders’ seventh-round selection in the recent draft, is generating buzz as a potential future steal. Kvasnicka competed for Team USA White in their matchup against Sweden.
Trailing by a goal in the first period, **Dakoda Rheaume-Mullen** made a strong play down the left side, feeding **Kvasnicka** in front of the net. The young forward successfully redirected the puck past the Swedish goaltender, leveling the score.

Canadian Contingent Features Islanders Prospects
Representing Canada, Islanders prospects **Matthew Schaefer** and **Kashawen Aitcheson** are set to gain valuable international experience. Both players are currently skating for Team Black.
In the initial lineup, **Schaefer** is paired with **Henry Mews** (Calgary Flames) on the top defensive pairing. **Aitcheson** is skating on the second pairing alongside **Charlie Elick** (Columbus Blue Jackets).
