Russian air defense systems intercepted 13 drones targeting the capital city of Moscow in the early hours of Saturday, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Eyewitnesses reported that several of the unmanned aerial vehicles were detected less than 38 kilometers northwest of the city.
This incident follows a period of heightened aerial activity and potential strikes in the region.
