Omos WWE Plan: AAA Move After Japan Stint

WWE is reportedly considering a new strategy to utilize Omos, the towering Nigerian wrestler, by sending him to Mexican promotion AAA. This move mirrors WWES previous initiative to send Omos to Japan’s Pro-Wrestling Noah earlier this year, aiming to build his profile as a special attraction outside of WWE programming.

Omos has been absent from WWE television since April 2024,not due to injury, but awaiting a creative direction. His stint in Japan, which lasted for a month, was intended to establish him as a meaningful draw in the Asian market.

According to WrestleVotes, the WWE creative team is actively discussing the potential of a similar arrangement with AAA in Mexico. The goal remains to leverage appearances in other promotions to enhance Omos’s status as a unique attraction.

This potential move follows WWE’s acquisition of a stake in AAA earlier this year and their increasing involvement in the promotion’s pay-per-view events. Sending established WWE talent like Omos to mexico could be a strategic step to keep less frequently featured roster members engaged and build their international appeal.

The success and implementation of this plan for Omos in the coming months will be closely watched.
