Anthropic now lets you make apps right from its Claude AI chatbot

Claude AI Adds In-App Coding for Custom Apps

Anthropic has introduced a new feature to its Claude AI chatbot. This addition allows users to build their own AI-powered applications directly within the app, offering an accessible way to create custom tools and workflows.

New Feature Unveiled

The enhancement to Claude enables users to create apps using a simple description of the desired outcome. Claude then generates the code to bring the idea to life. This functionality is available in the beta version, building upon the prior Artifacts feature, where users can see and interact with Claude’s creations.

“Start building in the Claude app by enabling this new interactive capability,” the company states in a blog post. “Simply describe what you want to create, and Claude will write the code for you.” The process is demonstrated in a video from Anthropic, showing a chat app being built.

Early User Creations

Early users have already developed diverse applications. They have built AI-powered games, educational tools, data analysis apps, and writing assistants. Moreover, users have also produced agent workflows. These orchestrate multiple Claude calls for complicated tasks.

Sharing and Access

Anthropic encourages users to share the apps they create. Furthermore, when someone else uses your app’s API, the usage counts against their subscription. The feature is available across all subscription tiers: Free, Pro, and Max.
