JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The government stated that there is still corona virus transmission in the community which caused the case Covid-19 in Indonesia continues to grow.
Based on government data until Tuesday (07/14/2020) at 12.00 WIB, there were 1,591 known Covid-19 new case in the last 24 hours.
The increase resulted in the current 78,572 coronavirus case in Indonesia, starting from the first case announced on March 2, 2020.
Latest information regarding the number of cases and data Covid-19 patient this was conveyed by the Government Spokesperson for Corona Virus Handling Achmad Yurianto at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon.
“We get positive confirmed cases of 1,591 people, bringing the total to 78,572,” Yurianto said.
The 1,591 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered after examinations of 23,001 specimens from 12,015 people examined in one day. With notes, one person can undergo specimen examination more than once.
The total specimens examined to date were 1,097,468 of 642,164 specimens examined.
Regarding the distribution, there are at least six provinces which recorded more than 100 new cases of Covid-19.
East Java still recorded the most additions with 353 new patients. Then, followed by DKI Jakarta with 268 new cases.
Next, there are South Sulawesi with 197 new cases, South Kalimantan with 161 new cases, North Sumatra with 130 new cases, and Bali with 101 new cases.
Patient recovered and died data
In the same period, an additional 947 recovered Covid-19 patients were known.
Those who were recovered after the examination by the method polymerase chain reaction (PCR) shows negative corona virus results.
Thus, a total of 37,636 Covid-19 patients were declared cured and were no longer infected with the corona virus.
However, Yurianto also conveyed sad news with the addition of Covid-19 patients who died.
In the period 13-14 July 2020, there were 54 additional patients who died after being infected with the corona virus.
“So, the total is 3,710,” said Yurianto.
The government stated that the Covid-19 case had spread to all provinces or 34 provinces from Aceh to Papua.
Specifically, there are 461 districts / cities from 34 provinces affected by corona virus transmission.
This number does not change compared to yesterday’s data.
This time, the government no longer announces data on people under surveillance (ODP) and patients under surveillance (PDP).
This time, the category is called suspicious, that is, people who are considered to meet criteria such as having ARI symptoms or close contact with Covid-19 patients.
At present, there are 46,701 people in the suspicious category.
