Zengcheng District Hosts Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Summer Practice Activity
The “Vibrant Guangzhou, Splendid Summer” Zengcheng District Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Summer Practice Activity took place in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, during the 2026 summer vacation, bringing together young people from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macao for field studies and cultural education.
District Committees Organize Program Based on Development Blueprint
The program was jointly organized by the Zengcheng District Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Zengcheng District Education Bureau, and the Zengcheng District Young Pioneers Working Committee, alongside Regional Education Guidance Centers. The initiative aligned with the district’s “15th Five-Year Plan” development blueprint and central tasks. Organizers structured the program around themes including becoming a strong city in scientific and technological innovation, a culturally strong city, building a green and beautiful Guangzhou, and supporting the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Sci-Tech Innovation Experience Section
During the technology portion of the itinerary, participants stepped into the role of “Little Researchers” to tour local industrial sites. At the Zengcheng Denim Apparel Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Base, team members used interactive touchscreens to design “Future Denim Clothing”. The group also observed the intelligent production process for flexible displays at Guangzhou Guoxian Visionox. Modern agricultural equipment came into focus at Fuxi Farm, where students examined the operating principles of unmanned tractors and agricultural drones. At Guangdong Hengxiang Agriculture, team members watched the standardized sorting and repacking procedures for fresh-cut fruits and vegetables. Finally, at Guangzhou Fengxing Dairy, the participants toured the full-chain production line, observing raw material selection and safety quality inspections.
Intangible Cultural Heritage and Ecological Exploration
Field studies were split across different geographic zones within the district to highlight both heritage and environmental achievements. Participants in the southern area toured Gualing Ancient Village to examine historical buildings and learn about Lingnan architecture and culture. In the northern area, visitors stopped at Zhengguo Station and Baijianghu Forest Park, where Red Scarf Docents explained local ecological protection, green construction milestones, and rural development efforts. Meanwhile, eastern area participants visited Aohai Soy Sauce Factory to watch the traditional brewing process, from initial raw material selection to final product filling.
Greater Bay Area Youth Exchanges
To bridge gaps among visitors from the three distinct jurisdictions, the program incorporated targeted interaction sessions. Activities included pairing and co-construction exercises, team games, and joint creative works designed to shorten the psychological distance among the young participants. The multi-faceted program utilized field study, ideological and political education, and cultural inheritance to demonstrate the pace of Zengcheng’s high-quality development.
