Zara Larsson & Perfume Genius Fight Wikipedia Photo Flaws | Celebrity Wiki Wars

Swedish pop star Zara Larsson is engaged in an ongoing effort to control her online image, specifically the photograph used on her Wikipedia page. Larsson recently highlighted her frustration with the current image on the platform, revealing in a TikTok video that she repeatedly changes it to a preferred photo, only to have it reverted by other users.

“I will never stop changing that picture to a nice one,” Larsson stated in the TikTok, adding, “You can stop, because I will never stop.” According to edit history records of her Wikipedia page, the page has experienced what editors describe as “persistent disruptive editing” and “a recent flood of vandalism” stemming from Larsson’s direct requests for a specific image via TikTok. As of today, her preferred photograph is currently displayed on the page.

Larsson’s experience is not unique. Perfume Genius, the stage name of musician Mike Hadreas, recently voiced similar discontent with his own Wikipedia portrait. On February 18, 2026, Hadreas tweeted, “Can someone please change my Wikipedia pictures? How do you do it? It’s haunted me for years,” expressing envy over a recent, flattering photograph added to the page of collaborator Blake Mills. Following his tweet, Hadreas’ Wikipedia photo was updated to a more recent image.

The incidents highlight a growing awareness among public figures regarding their online representation and the challenges of maintaining control over their digital personas. Larsson’s 2017 single, “Symphony,” experienced a resurgence in popularity due to a TikTok meme, bringing increased attention to her online presence, including her Wikipedia page. She has teased new music following the success of “Symphony,” suggesting continued public interest in her work and image.
