Puerto Rican coach Yadier Molina was suspended for two games and fined $300.00 for participating in the Nov. 19 incident in the game between Navegantes de Magallanes and Leones de Caracas in the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League.
The announcement was made on Sunday by the League itself. Reliever Bruce Rondón (Magallanes) was suspended for three games and players José Rondón (Caracas), Isaías Tejeda and Yoel Yanqui were fined $300.00.
Puerto Rican José Molina (Magallanes) was reprimanded.
The brawl happened in the ninth inning of the game between Magallanes and Caracas. Molina was ejected from the game – the third time in a row – for arguing over ball and hit counts.
