Xiaomi Boosts Home Wi-Fi with new AX1500 Range Extender, Priced at 779 CZK
Prague, Czech Republic – Xiaomi has launched the Wi-Fi Range Extender AX1500 in the Czech Republic, offering a budget-pleasant solution to eliminate Wi-Fi dead zones and improve network coverage throughout the home. Available for 779 CZK, the extender leverages Wi-Fi 6 technology and Mesh networking capabilities to deliver faster, more stable connections.
The AX1500 is designed to address common household Wi-Fi challenges, such as weak signals in larger spaces, interference from walls, and the demands of multiple connected devices. Beyond standard range extension, the device features an “I regain ap” function, allowing it to create a new Wi-Fi network from a wired Ethernet connection. A “Smartlink” feature automatically switches between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands to maintain a stable connection, even if one frequency experiences issues.
The extender is notably well-suited for: larger apartments and houses; households with numerous connected devices; users who stream high-definition video or play online games; and owners of older routers seeking to expand coverage without a full upgrade. xiaomi recommends placement approximately one meter off the ground, ideally near the center of the home, and advises against locating the extender inside metal cabinets or near interfering appliances like microwave ovens.
Xiaomi states the AX1500 provides modern technologies like Wi-Fi 6 and Mesh networking at an accessible price point, making it a viable option for households prioritizing improved Wi-Fi coverage without notable investment.
