Xiaomi redmi Pad 2 Pro Review: Extended Battery Life, But Slow Charging
PARIS, FRANCE - Xiaomi’s latest tablet, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro, boasts a considerably improved battery capacity and performance, but falls short on charging speed, according to a recent review by Frandroid. The device, now available starting at €349, aims to deliver a premium tablet experience at a competitive price point, targeting users seeking extended usability for streaming, office work, and video consumption.
The Redmi Pad 2 Pro represents Xiaomi’s continued push into the tablet market, a segment increasingly focused on providing versatile devices for both productivity and entertainment. The upgrade to a 12,000 mAh battery – a 20% increase over the previous iteration – directly addresses a key consumer need for longer-lasting power. Though, the tablet’s 33W charging capability proves a bottleneck, requiring over two hours for a full recharge. This trade-off between battery life and charging speed will be a crucial consideration for potential buyers.
The tablet delivers two days of semi-intensive use with streaming, office tasks, and video playback. The Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 Pro is available in 6+128 GB (€349) and 256 GB (€399) configurations, in gray, purple, and silver. A matte screen option is available for €429. Optional accessories include a keyboard (€99.99) and stylus (€69.99).
