The final, delayed by two hours due to rain, saw India set a challenging target for South Africa. A dominant batting performance, spearheaded by Shafali Verma and a steady innings from Harmanpreet Kaur and Pooja Vastrakar, propelled India to a competitive total. After Mandhana’s dismissal in the 18th over by Chloe Tryon, Verma continued to build momentum with Jemimah Rodrigues, adding a further 62 runs to the total before both batters were out.
