Wilmington Woman Arrested for Newark Dollar Tree Armed Robbery

Newark, DE – November 19, 2025 – Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington woman following​ an attempted ⁣armed robbery ‍at ⁢a Newark Dollar Tree ⁤on Monday afternoon. The suspect, ‌identified as 60-year-old Kimberly Trabbold, allegedly⁣ threatened a cashier with a⁢ knife ‍and demanded‍ money.

On November 17, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., troopers responded to the Dollar Tree located at ⁢1307 churchmans Road after receiving a report of the incident. Preliminary investigations revealed Trabbold entered the store and, after browsing for several⁢ minutes, confronted a cashier, placing them in a headlock and‍ pressing a knife​ to their back while demanding access to the cash register.⁤ quick action by other store employees prevented further escalation,as they restrained Trabbold until police arrived. No injuries ‌were ⁢reported.

Trabbold was taken to Troop 2 ⁤and ⁢charged with Attempted Robbery First degree, a felony offense.‍ She was later arraigned by Justice of the⁢ Peace Court ‍2 and‍ committed to the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on⁢ $25,000 cash bail.
