Will Tom Selleck Join donnie Wahlberg in ‘Boston Blue‘?
donnie Wahlberg has indicated a potential for a crossover between his new CBS series,Boston Blue,adn his former hit,Blue Bloods,sparking speculation about a possible appearance by Tom Selleck. Wahlberg, who played detective Danny Reagan for 14 seasons on Blue Bloods, is now starring in Boston Blue, a spin-off set to premiere in June 2025. He recently discussed the possibility of Selleck, who portrayed Police Commissioner Frank reagan, joining the new series, noting that New York and Boston are geographically close. The potential crossover holds significance for fans of Blue Bloods, which concluded its run in March 2024 after a triumphant 14-season run, and for those eager to see the continuation of the Blue Bloods universe.
“New York and Boston are really close,” Wahlberg told Parade in June. “They’re not that far apart… Blue Bloods is significant to the audience, it’s important to me.” He also highlighted the enthusiasm of his new co-star, Sonequa Martin-Green, who is a fan of the original series and wants to help maintain its legacy.
