Texoma Community Credit Union’s “Tree of life” Supports Local Residents in Need
WICHITA FALLS, Texas (December 6, 2025) – texoma Community Credit Union (TCCU) is once again partnering with Adult Protective Services (APS) for their annual “Tree of Life” program, providing holiday assistance to individuals served by APS.For nearly two decades, the program has connected community generosity with those facing hardship.
Each ornament displayed on the “Tree of Life” represents a client of APS, symbolizing a specific need or wish. This year, approximately 100-110 individuals are represented on the tree.APS caseworkers have worked directly with each client throughout the year, ensuring the wishes reflected on the ornaments are genuine and impactful.
“The TCCU Tree of Life has been a tremendous support to our community for almost 20 years,” stated Sharon Mere, a supervisor with Adult Protective Services. “It allows us to provide a little extra joy to individuals who may otherwise have no gifts this holiday season.”
The program offers donors the opportunity to directly fulfill a specific need, ranging from everyday essentials like shampoo and slippers to items for beloved pets.
Lauren McKechnie, Vice President of Marketing at TCCU, emphasized the credit union’s commitment to community support. “We’ve been conducting the Tree of Life program for over 15 years, and it’s a core part of our mission to give back to the communities we serve,” she said. “It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the positive impact this partnership has on our neighbors.”
Community members interested in participating can adopt an ornament and donate items at any TCCU branch located on Southwest Parkway or Sheppard Access road. Donations will be accepted until December 15th.
