St George’s, Grenada – The West Indies Women’s cricket team won the toss and elected to field against Sri Lanka Women in the first of three One Day International (ODI) matches at the National Cricket Stadium on Friday, February 20, 2026.

The match, part of the Sri Lanka Women’s tour of the West Indies, commenced with Hayley Matthews of the West Indies Women leading her team onto the field. The Sri Lankan team is captained by Chamari Athapaththu.

The West Indies Women’s squad includes Hayley Matthews, Qiana Joseph, Shemaine Campbelle, Stafanie Taylor, Chinelle Henry, Deandra Dottin, Jannillea Glasgow, Aaliyah Alleyne, Shawnisha Hector, Afy Fletcher, and Karishma Ramharack. Sri Lanka Women’s team comprises Chamari Athapaththu, Hasini Perera, Vishmi Gunarathne, Harshitha Samarawickrama, Imesha Dulani, Kavisha Dilhari, Nilakshika Silva, Kaushini Nuthyangana, Malki Madara, Inoka Ranaweera, and Kawya Kavindi.

As of the latest update, Sri Lanka Women have reached 54 runs for the loss of one wicket after 14 overs. Hasini Perera is currently batting with 19 runs off 39 balls, while Harshitha Samarawickrama has scored 3 runs off 8 balls. Hayley Matthews has taken one wicket for the West Indies, conceding 11 runs in 3 overs.

The umpires for the match are Jacqueline Williams of the West Indies and Vrinda Rathi of India, with Candace La Borde of the West Indies serving as the third umpire. Denavon Hayles of the West Indies is the match referee.

The series continues with two further ODI matches scheduled to be played between the two teams.
