Here’s how it effectively works: Translating a message is simple and doesn’t require leaving the chat window. Just long-press on the message and select the “Translate” option. The translated text will then appear, and the necessary language packs are saved for future use. This functionality extends beyond one-on-one conversations,encompassing group chats and even updates within Channels,broadening its impact.
Language Support & Rollout: the feature is being rolled out gradually to both Android and iPhone users.Android users initially have access to translation for six languages: English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic. iOS users benefit from a wider selection, with support for over 19 languages from the start, leveraging Apple’s existing infrastructure.

Automatic Translation for Android: Android users also gain an additional convenience: the ability to automatically translate all incoming messages within a specific chat. once enabled, any message received in a different language will be instantly displayed in the user’s preferred language, eliminating the need for repeated manual translations - ideal for ongoing conversations in another language.

Limitations: While powerful, the translation tool isn’t all-encompassing. Locations, documents, contacts, stickers, and GIFs cannot be translated. Moreover, users must download the relevant language packs and have sufficient storage space available to utilize the feature.
