Vogue Names Chloe Malle Head of Editorial Content, Replacing Anna Wintour

Vogue Names‌ chloe Malle New U.S. Editor, Declares Herself a ‘Proud Nepo Baby’

NEW YORK Chloe Malle has been appointed ​the new U.S. editor of⁣ Vogue,succeeding Anna Wintour,and has⁢ openly embraced the label of “nepo baby” in a recent⁣ Times interview. Malle, who has been ​with Vogue ⁢ as 2011, currently serves ⁢as‌ the editor of Vogue.com, a⁢ role she’s held as 2023, overseeing all digital content. She has also ‍co-hosted “The Run-thru,” ​ Vogue’s weekly fashion and culture podcast, since 2022.

Malle began her career at Vogue as social ‌editor,leading wedding and social​ coverage and⁣ contributing to sections including fashion,politics,homes and gardens,beauty,and ⁤health. She⁣ transitioned to a contributing ‌editor role from 2016 to 2023, where she wrote⁤ features, oversaw ⁤special projects, and⁢ worked as a sittings editor.

Looking ahead, Malle envisions a shift for Vogue’s print publication, proposing fewer issues released around specific ⁣themes or cultural moments, transforming them into “collectible editions” printed ​on high-quality paper. The first print issue under her leadership is anticipated in ⁢2026.

Anna Wintour expressed her confidence in Malle, stating, “I ‍believe that warmth, joy, experience, and keen vision are what Vogue will thrive​ on through the years ahead. At a moment of change‌ both within fashion and outside it,Vogue must continue to be both the standard-bearer and the boundary-pushing leader. Malle herself stated, “I’ve ‌spent my career at Vogue, working in roles across every platform – from print ‍to digital, audio to video, events and social media.⁢ I love the title, I love the content we create, and I love ⁣the editors who create it. ⁣ Vogue has already shaped who I am,now I’m excited at the‍ prospect of shaping Vogue. I⁢ look forward to embedding myself even more fully across print, video, ⁢and events – fostering the true⁣ cross-platform⁣ plurality that our audience craves⁤ and demands.”

Beyond her work at ⁤ vogue, Malle is the editor of several books, including ⁣”Vogue Living: City, Country, Coast” (2017), “Vogue ⁤and The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute: Parties, Exhibitions, People” (2014), ‍and “Vogue Weddings: brides,‌ Dresses, Designers” (2012). Her writing has also appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street ‍Journal, Architectural Digest, and WWD.A graduate of Brown University, Malle resides in New York City with her husband, two children, and dog, Lloyd. According to ​Condé Nast, she enjoys Lego building and watching britbox in her ‌free time.
