Vodafone updates pricing for fixed internet and TV bundles in Romania
Vodafone has updated its pricing structures for fixed internet and television bundles across Romania, raising monthly costs for customers through a shift from flat promotional rates to tiered billing periods, gadget.ro reported. The telecommunications operator introduced modified cost schedules for its primary multi-play portfolios, altering monthly expenses by margins ranging from 1 euro to 3.5 euro depending on the selected package.
Vodafone Ultra Home and Ultra Home+
The standard Vodafone Ultra Home package now costs 9 euro per month for the first 12 months, 11 euro per month for the subsequent 12 months, and 13.5 euro per month starting from the twenty-fifth month. Under the previous pricing structure, the same bundle cost a flat 7.5 euro per month across the initial 24 months before rising to 12.5 euro per month from month 25. gadget.ro reported that the offering includes Ultra Net download speeds of up to 500 Mbps or 940 Mbps depending on local infrastructure, an included Wi-Fi Box modem, an Ultra Wi-Fi Booster—specifying Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, or the first Super Wi-Fi Mesh equipment—along with 162 television channels, including 39 in HD. Subscribers also receive access to the TV+ application with at least 120 channels, alongside a three-month promotional bonus covering sports, HBO, HBO Max Standard without advertisements, Panonia, FilmBox+ Pack, FilmBox+ Super Pack, and extra channels.
For the higher-tier Vodafone Ultra Home+ package, subscribers will pay 12 euro per month during the first year, 14 euro per month during the second year, and 17.5 euro per month from month 25 onward. The former pricing model set this bundle at 11 euro per month for the first 24 months, jumping to 17.5 euro per month thereafter. This tier retains identical internet speeds, hardware allowances, and television channel counts while bundling HBO and HBO Max Standard without advertisements permanently, complemented by a three-month promotional bonus for sports, Panonia, FilmBox+ packs, and extra channels, according to gadget.ro.
Vodafone Ultra Home Tech
The hardware-bundled Vodafone Ultra Home Tech package, which includes a TP-Link Tapo C310 outdoor surveillance camera, is priced at 10 euro per month for the first 12 months, 12 euro per month for months 13 through 24, and 13.5 euro per month beginning in the twenty-fifth month. Previously, the plan cost 8.5 euro per month across the two-year contract period before moving to 12.5 euro per month. gadget.ro noted that the included TP-Link camera features 3MP resolution, Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity, night vision up to 30 meters, motion sensors, integrated microphone and speaker, support for microSD cards up to 512GB, and compatibility with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice controls.
