Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin Ceremony in Corvallis, Oregon

Corvallis to Honor Vietnam-Era Veterans with Lapel Pin Ceremony

Corvallis, OR -⁣ Local Vietnam-era veterans will be recognized for their service at a commemorative ⁢ceremony ​on tuesday, ⁤December 9, at 11 a.m. ‍at Suburban Christian Church, 2760 SW 53rd St.in west Corvallis.

The event ‍is ‌part of the national Vietnam War​ 50th⁤ Anniversary Commemoration, and eligible veterans will receive a special Vietnam ⁤Veteran Lapel Pin. ‍Veterans who served on active duty ‌in the Armed Forces between November​ 1, 1955, and May ‍15, 1975, are qualified, ⁣regardless of‍ their ⁢location of service.

The lapel pin features ⁢an eagle symbolizing courage, honor,⁤ and dedicated service, encircled by a blue circle, laurel wreath, and stars representing the United States and its allies. The pin’s reverse side reads, “A Grateful Nation Thanks​ and ⁢Honors You.”
