Vietnam Airlines will launch non-stop service between Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) and Phuket, Thailand (HKT) on April 2, 2026, and between Hanoi (HAN) and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) on June 16, 2026, expanding its international network for the summer season.

The Ho Chi Minh City to Phuket route will operate four times weekly, utilizing Airbus A321 aircraft under flight number VN621, departing SGN at 16:00 and arriving at HKT at 17:50. The return flight, VN622, will depart HKT at 18:45 and arrive at SGN at 20:45, according to the airline’s announcement.

The new Hanoi-Amsterdam route will be served by Airbus A350 aircraft, marking Vietnam Airlines’ first service to the Netherlands. Flights will operate three times weekly, building upon the carrier’s existing European network that currently includes service to Frankfurt and Paris. The launch is facilitated by Vietnam Airlines’ membership in the SkyTeam alliance and a partnership with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, also a SkyTeam member.

The expansion to Thailand comes as the country anticipates a surge in tourism, with 86 airlines applying for over 270,000 flight slots to and from Thailand for the Summer 2026 season, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).

Vietnam Airlines is currently offering a 15% discount on flights with the promo code FLYNEWVNA, available for purchases between February 6, 2026, and February 10, 2026, for travel between March 1, 2026, and September 30, 2026, on select routes including those to Korea, Cambodia, and Thailand. The promotion applies to specific flight numbers including VN617, VN616, VN609, and VN608 for travel to Thailand.
