Helmut Marko has stated that he considers it highly improbable that Max Verstappen will leave Red Bull Racing for Mercedes.
marko emphasized the need to consider long-term implications when making decisions about the future,acknowledging that the landscape of formula 1 can change significantly over three to five years.
Amidst reports linking Verstappen to a potential move to Mercedes, speculation has also arisen regarding the influence of Verstappen’s management, including his father Jos, on Christian Horner’s departure from his roles as Red bull Racing CEO and team principal. The specific reasons for Horner’s exit have not been officially confirmed.
When questioned about whether he had communicated with Verstappen following Horner’s departure, Marko stated, “Max was informed, I don’t want to say anything more about that.”
